Course Objectives: 
This course aims to enable the student to gain the desicion making on the indications of orthoses for different pathological conditions as well as pre-or-post-operative conditions
Course Content: 
     Identification of orthoses as functional, supportive, corrective, immobilizer; decision making on the indications of orthotics and rehabilitation procedures according to the need of individual   with disabilities; trends in assistive technology  for activiteis of Daily living (ADL), balance and mobility.

1 Orthotics for neurological disorders (spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, poliomyelitis, neuromuscular  disorders, cerebrovascular accident, cerebral palsy, neurodevolepmental delay,  etc.)  
2 Orthotics for orthopedic disorders (fracture, congenital hip displacement, pes equino varus, pes planus, etc.)  
3 Orthotics for rheumatologic (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis) disorders  
4 Case studies and clinical asessment  
5 Functional, supportive, immobilizer and constructive orthosis   indicated in different pathological conditions  
6 Case studies and clinical asessment  
7 MIDTERM EXAM  
8 Orthotics in pre and post operative situations and their rehabilitation principles  
9 The recent approches in orthotics technology, the assessment of function
