History: The Medical Microbiology Master's Program began offering education within the Yeditepe University Institute of Health Sciences in 2021.
Objective: The general learning goal of the Medical Microbiology Master's Program is to teach students the fundamental principles of microbiology (bacteriology, immunology, virology, parasitology, mycology, molecular microbiology, and microbial genetics, among others), including the pathogenesis of microorganisms and infectious diseases, to increase students' experiences working in microbiology laboratories, to teach scientific research, and to prepare students for academic life.
Qualification Awarded: Upon successful completion of the program with all requirements met, graduates will receive a Master's degree in the field of Medical Microbiology.
Who Can Apply: Students admitted to the Medical Microbiology Master's program must be in compliance with the student admission criteria of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Institute of Health Sciences of Yeditepe University. Graduates of the 4-year Medical Biological Sciences Department, the 4-year Biology and Molecular Biology departments of the Faculty of Science and Literature, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the Faculty of Dentistry can apply to the program.
