Classification of signaling molecules, receptors, and cellular signaling components, G protein-coupled receptors, Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), ligand-gated ion channels, Role of protein kinases and phosphatases in signaling pathways, Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways and their role in cell proliferation and differentiation, Phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-Akt-mTOR pathway, Role of Second Messengers and Intracellular Signaling Pathways, Nuclear receptors and their role in gene transcription and hormonal regulation, Modulation of gene expression by MAPK pathways, Role of Hedgehog, Wnt, and Notch signaling pathways in embryonic development and tissue homeostasis, Role of signaling pathways in stem cell biology and tissue regeneration, Role of signaling pathways in metabolic diseases, Oncogenic signaling pathways and targeted therapies. Additionally, discussions on current research as well as future trends and new topics will be conducted in this course.
