History: The Occupational Health and Safety Master's Program began offering education within the Institute of Health Sciences of Yeditepe University in 2018.
Objective: The primary aim of occupational health and safety practices is to protect workers from occupational accidents and diseases, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. Ensuring production safety and business safety are also important functions of the field of occupational safety. Occupational health and safety is a service branch that strives to eliminate negative factors in the physical, biological, social, cultural, economic, and psychological environment that contribute to the occurrence of work-related diseases, and to create a positive environment, and is a scientific discipline that teaches this branch.
Goal: Researchers who complete the Occupational Health and Safety Master's degree have the opportunity to conduct scientific research in a wide range of areas and can continue their studies in specialized fields after graduation by increasing their knowledge in the field of their choice. They can also have the opportunity to work with important researchers in their field. The Occupational Health and Safety Master's degree also offers the opportunity to work on advanced research, conduct independent research in the field of interest, and further develop research skills.
Qualification Awarded: Upon successful completion of the program with all requirements met, graduates will receive a Master's degree in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.
