History: Dentomaxillofacial Radiology PhD programme has been founded in 2003 and gave its first PhD degree in 2013.
Goal: The objective of the PhD education in Dentomaxillofacial Radiology Department is to educate dentists holding doctorate degree, who are raised with modern and international facilities, capable of establishing diagnosis of oral, teeth and mucosal diseases with the adjunctive examination methods and the most appropriate treatment planning for the treatment of these tissues, performing treatment of oral mucosal diseases, have the profound knowledge on the dental management of oral manifestations of the systemic diseases, using and interpreting imaging techniques in a competent manner, and follow the current developments.
Objective: The main aim of the PhD program in Dentomaxillofacial Radiology Department is to raise dentomaxillofacial radiology specialists, who are capable of establishing accurate diagnosis and the most appropriate treatment planning in the modern and international area, using and interpreting the advanced imaging techniques used in dentistry, performing treatment of oral mucosal diseases and aims to provide the continuity of personal advancement and follow current scientific developments.
Qualification Awarded: The PhD Degree in Dentomaxillofacial Radiology is awarded to the graduates who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum.
