History: Physiology Doctorate Program began offering education within the Institute of Health Sciences of Yeditepe University in 2021.

Objective: Physiology, one of the basic disciplines of medical science, is a science that studies how living organisms work at the level of cells, organs and systems. Physiology is a broad field of functional research encompassing many systems from cell physiology to circulatory, respiratory, digestive, nervous, musculoskeletal, endocrine and reproductive systems. Within the scope of this program, it is aimed to train physiologists with high level researcher and educator equipment.

Aim: With this program, by providing medical physiology doctorate education at an international level, having a certain knowledge and skill about the basic principles of human physiology from the cell level to the level of organs and organ systems, being able to conduct scientific research, therefore to establish the right hypotheses in research and to choose the right methods to prove these hypotheses and It is aimed to train physiologists who have gained the ability to use information, who can access, evaluate and interpret information, who can follow international literature, who are open to development in their own field, who can meet the requirements of independent and joint group work when necessary.

Qualification Awarded: Upon successful completion of the program with all requirements met, graduates will receive a doctoral degree in the field of Physiology.
